Simple Fixes to Try First

Check the batteries. The most common cause of blank screens. Replace them even if you think they’re fine.

Check the circuit breaker. If tripped, reset it—but if it trips again, call a professional.

Verify settings. Make sure it’s set to HEAT or COOL (not OFF), fan on AUTO. Check that programmed schedules aren’t overriding manual changes.

Test the system. Adjust temperature 5 degrees and wait. You should hear the system respond within a minute or two.

Restart the thermostat. Turn off, wait 30 seconds, turn back on.
